• How to unlock Android “after too many pattern attempts” with airplane mode switch on?

    To do it you need to bring network connection back and enter email account name with password. That is not need programmer knowledge but need some patient and lucky. Unlock is only possible if is enabled debugging on your android phone, tablet or other device – whatever is it free to try.

    This method is the easiest and the most successful.

    Install SDK

    1. Download and install Android SDK

    Connect Android to PC

    1. Connect USB cable to PC and Android device.
    2. Switch on Android device (load battery to maximum before).
    3. Check if Android is detected with plug and play.
    4. If Windows will ask you about driver do steps bellow.
    5. If Windows do not ask about driver – it is possible that usb debug mode is not enabled.

    This mean that only way to recovery it to delete all data with hard reset – it deletes all data.

    Install USB driver

    1. Try to find USB driver in support for your phone, tablet or driver – download and install.
    2. You could verify if package is valid by searching “android_winusb.inf”.
    3. When Windows ask you about drivers point directory with “android_winusb.inf”.
      1. If Windows fail with this you need modify “android_winusb.inf” as decribed in “Google USB Driver”.

    Install Google USB driver (Optional)

    1. If your vendor not supply drivers you could workaround this.
    2. Go to directory where you install Android SDK (typical c:\Program Files\android-sdk).
    3. Run “SDK Manager.exe”.
    4. Search Google USB Driver and install it.
    5. When Windows ask you about drivers point directory with “android_winusb.inf”.
      1. If Windows fail with this you need modify “android_winusb.inf”.
      2. Add such lines marked sections.

      1. “Goclever a104″ is name of your device you could edit it.
      2. “USB\VID_18D1&PID_0003&MI_01″ is data from device manager you should edit it.
      3. Open device manager find devlice with quotaion and find in properties plus and play identifier.
      4. Replace “USB\VID_18D1&PID_0003&MI_01″ to something valid for you device.
      5. When Windows ask you about drivers point directory with “android_winusb.inf”.
      6. Now should work you will see bot in notification area “bot surrounded by two USB cables” :)

    Final cut

    1. Go to directory where you install Android SDK (typical c:\Program Files\android-sdk).
    2. Switch on Android device (load battery to maximum before).
    3. Go to directory platform-tools or search where is adb.exe.
    4. Execute android shell.

    1. Modify you setting to disable airplane mode.
    sqlite3 /data/data/com.android.providers.settings/databases/settings.db
    update system set value = 0 where name='airplane_mode_on'
    .quit
    1. Enable WiFi
    sqlite3 /data/data/com.android.providers.settings/databases/settings.db
    update secure set value = 0 where name = 'wifi_on'
    .quit
    1. Enable mobile
    sqlite3 /data/data/com.android.providers.settings/databases/settings.db
    update secure set value = 0 where name = 'mobile_data'
    .quit
    1. Restart android
    adb reboot
    1. ENTER PASSWORD THAT IS ALL – very simple now since you have NETWORK.

    Do not give up if modification ‘settings.db’ is failing sometime it happens try again one more time. Screen could be black since Android will accept command during “sleeping” :)
